Fusions (or K-Tips) are my baby! They are what made me want to start doing extensions. I had got them for years before I ever went to hair school. So I do know that it can be difficult to properly take care of them at home. From my personal experience, this is what is best for at home care:
Brush 2-3 times a day. Hold hair tight near the roots and brush gently. I always include an extension brush at your first install. If you need an additional, they are $10 in the salon. To order a brush online, I recommend the Hairdreams Extensions Brush*.
As they grow out, they can start to tangle. Gentle pull each apart.
Make sure hair is tangle free before washing.
Shampoo and condition 2-3 times a week. You will shampoo* twice, then condition* once. Treatments* every other wash.
Towel dry without rubbing back and forth. Brush gently when wet.
Always blow dry the extensions!
Never go to bed with wet hair.
Rough dry to 90% then use a round brush to smooth.
Always use heat protectant.
Straighten, Curl and style as normal. Avoid putting heat tools on the bonds; they can melt.
Purchase recommended hair products from me (shampoo, conditioner, treatments, styling products). or Online (shampoo*, conditioner*, treatments*, styling products*).
New hair is needed every 4-5 months.
